Mahtomedi Girl Scout Service Unit

Summer Encampment
June 25 - 27th
Rolling Ridges

Encampment 2010 - 'Girl Scouts Together'

When: June 25-27  (troops may come and go anytime between 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Sunday)

For:  All Mahtomedi Girl Scouts  (typically K Daisy Scouts only come for the day on Saturday -- no overnight)

What is Encampment?  This experience is organized/run by Mahtomedi Service Unit volunteers, and it is intended to provide troops an opportunity to get out to camp with minimal fuss for the leaders.  There are planned activities on Saturday from noon until the evening (wide games from 12-4:30, dinner at 5, and campfire at 7 p.m.); all other activities and meals are organized by your own troop.  Troops are encouraged--but not required--to stay overnight, and you may stay one or both nights.  Leaders will need to take Council training required for staying overnight or cooking in/outdoors with girls ('Girls Cook In', 'Girls Cook Out', 'Girls Sleep In', or 'Girls Sleep Out').

Cost: The cost for encampment is $18 for girls in grades 1-12 regardless of how long you stay, and it is $13 for K Daisy Scouts (these girls do not stay overnight).

Information/registration Form

The form is designed with some fill-in-the-blank sections that you should complete for your own troop's needs/plan.  Girls may return the registration form to the encampment committee directly, or they can get returned to you first, and then you can turn them all in together.  Either way is fine.
